Rains continue to move eastward this morning, but clouds should hang on most of the day. As the cool front moves through, temperatures will remain in the 50s and 60s. Early morning thunderstorms brought a few heavy downpours and reports of some small hail before sunrise. Those storms brought about 1/2 inch of rain to the Lafayette Regional Airport.
Skies will continue to clear later this evening and temperatures will drop into the mid 40s by early Wednesday morning. Sunshine will return tomorrow with temperatures rising back into the mid 60s. Thursday temps will rebound back into the low 70s and it will stay quite warm over the weekend with chance for showers Friday night.
