The tail end of a frontal trough will keep better than normal rain chances in Acadiana overnight through Wednesday morning.
Showers and storms will be mostly likely after midnight through midday Wednesday.
Although no organized severe weather is expected, some storms could be capable of small hail and gusty winds along with the usual cloud to ground lightning and brief torrential downpours.
Thanks to the clouds and additional shower activity it shouldn't be as hot Wednesday.
A typical summer pattern will resume for the rest of the week into the weekend with partly cloudy, hot and humid conditions along with the risk of a few widely scattered, mainly afternoon showers and thunderstorms.
