The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns softball team will host LSU-Alexandria and Lamar University in a pair of fall exhibition games this weekend at Lamson Park, seeking wins and to support two good causes.
The "Think Pink Breast Cancer Awareness Game" will take place on "Fight Like A Girl Cancer Awareness Day", Saturday, October 12. Fans can show their support by wearing pink to the game.
The Ragin' Cajuns welcome all cancer survivors to attend a pregame ceremony at 11:30 a.m., when they will be honored on the field.
The Cajuns softball team also will sell pink "Fight Like A Girl" T-shirts in honor of all family and friends who have battled cancer.
On Sunday, the team will host a canned goods food drive in conjunction with the Second Harvest Food Bank of Greater New Orleans and Acadiana.
Fans are encouraged to bring canned goods, which will be accepted at the gate, as well as monetary donations.
