The Ragin' Cajuns fans can begin using Ticketmaster's mobile ticketing application for scanning virtual tickets.
"We are always looking to enhance our fans' game day experience and keep the Ragin' Cajuns on the cutting-edge, so it's thrilling to be the first Louisiana Ticketmaster Client to implement these mobile ticketing programs," said Matt Casbon, UL Ticket Manager.
The Ticketmaster app, available for all smartphones and devices, enables fans to purchase tickets and transfer season and individual game tickets to friends easily, in the event they cannot attend the game. The Ragin' Cajuns are the first Louisiana University team to utilize the app's paperless ticketing capability, which allows fans to pull up their tickets on their smartphones and have them scanned upon entry to the stadium.
In addition to scanning virtual tickets on the Ticketmaster app, the Ragin' Cajun fans will also be able to store their tickets in Apple's Passbook app, starting this Saturday, September 14, when the team takes on the Nicholls State Colonels. Passbook - a new feature on Apple's
iOS6 operating system - serves as a "mobile wallet," allowing users to store and sort all virtual
cards, tickets, and offers. Fans using Passbook can purchase Ragin' Cajuns tickets from Ticketmaster and then store them in their Passbook accounts for easy access. Passbook tickets use Quick Response (QR) Code rather than a traditional barcode, and the scanners at Cajun Field have been updated to accept QR-style code.
Mobile ticketing is currently available for single-game ticket purchases & for season ticket holders to manage their accounts from a mobile device. Fans may also purchase individual game tickets by visiting the CAJUNDOME Box Office, www.ticketmaster.com, or calling (800)
Fans can purchase individual game tickets at all box office locations on game day at Cajun Field.
