The Ragin' Cajuns team has been in New Orleans since Tuesday prepping for tomorrow's bowl game.
With the game just a day away, fans are headed to the Big Easy and KATC caught up with one die-hard fan before she takes off.
"We've always been big fans of UL, my husband and I are both alumni of USL and we go way back in the UL tradition of red and white. We love those boys," said Super Fan Nanette Fisher.
This super fan is a proud UL Alum. After attending LSU for two years, she transferred to UL and has been a die-hard Ragin' Cajun ever since.
"For 30 years we've been pulling for our boys. Our tradition, we are a big football family, we love the football games and we have tailgates and we've been doing that for countless years," said Fisher.
Fisher says once she found out UL would play in the New Orleans Bowl, she bought sixty tickets for the entire family. She also wanted to honor UL with just red lights on her Christmas tree but she got carried away.
"I started pulling things out of my children rooms and had to go shop a little bit for UL stuff and that's how I got going and last minute I said, Oh my goodness, I have to do the rope as garland. My boys, I have all boys and my husband are just thrilled with the tree," said Fisher.
In her 30 years of cheering on the team, this is the second time she'll be watching the Cajuns take the field in a bowl.
"We are thrilled that they're going back to the bowl. We'll love them no matter what, we always have, we just happen to love them a little more when they're doing great," said Fisher.
Tomorrow Fisher and her family will be enjoying all the festivities and anxiously watching the game, cheering on her Ragin' Cajuns.
The Mercedes-Benz Superdome gates will open at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday and the bowl game kicks-off at 11 a.m.
