Youngsville Police are investigating a reported "quick change scam" at a snowcone shop in Youngsville. The owner of Shortline Caboose located on Verot School Road in Youngsville says the scam occurred on Tuesday, September 27th just before 7pm. The scammer got away with $104.00 and he caught it all on tape. The owner says the scammer took advantage of the young worker and took nearly all of the cash taken into the shop that day.
Police are not saying whether this scam is connected to the other "quick change scams" currently under investigation in Lafayette Parish.
