Lundi Gras drawing huge crowds in Lafayette Monday night not only for the Queen's Parade, but the carnival as well.
This is not only Elisabeth Robertson's first time to ride in a parade, it's also her first time in a royal court as Queen Evangeline.
"I get to represent Lafayette and it's awesome and it's great tradition," said Robertson.
The streets were packed with parade goers all the way from Pontiac Point to Cajun Field Monday. Claudia Williams came out with nearly a dozen of her family and friends, making this Lundi Gras one to remember.
"It's more of a family feeling, it's more of a family oriented Mardi Gras and it's awesome for the kids and your neighborhood. These are my neighbors my friends all around me so it's awesome," said Williams.
