Qualifying for April 6 Election Takes Place Next Week

Qualifying for the April 6 special election begins next Wednesday. Qualifying runs through Friday, February 15. Anyone interested in running for an office up for grabs that day may contact his/her parish's clerk of court's office.

Here is a list of offices by parish that will be on the ballot on April 6.

Acadia:
School Board, District 5
Mermentau Chief of Police

Evangeline:
Turkey Creek Village Council, At-large

Iberia:
School Board, District 4.
District Judge, Division C

Jeff Davis:
Jennings Mayor

Lafayette:
Broussard City Council, District 1

St. Landry:
Grand Coteau Mayor
Constable/Justice of the Peace, District 10

St. Martin:
Parks Board of Aldermen, At-large
District Judge, Division C

St. Mary:
Berwick Town Council, At-large
District Judge, Division C

Vermilion:
Gueydan Board of Alderman, At-large
