Purse Snatching Suspect

Detectives with the Lafayette Police Department are attempting to identify the suspect in the photo that is alleged to have been involved in a purse snatching. On May 4, 2010, the victim was exiting a store in the 3800 block of Moss Street, when the suspect grabbed the victim's purse from her shopping cart. The suspect was last seen fleeing the area on foot north on Moss Street. The suspect is described as a black male in his early to mid twenties, approximately 5'7" to 5'9" tall and 150 pounds. The victim was not injured during the incident.
Anyone with information about the incident or the identity of the suspect is encouraged to call the Lafayette Police Department or Crime Stoppers at 232- TIPS.
