Public's assistance sought in locating suspect in Valero robbery

LAFAYETTE, La. - Lafayette Police are asking for the public's assistance in solving an armed robbery that happened on June 17, 2013, at 10:25 p.m. at the Valero store in the 2300 block of Ambassador Caffery Parkway.

According to LPD Spokesperson Cpl. Paul Mouton, an unknown black man entered the gas station armed with a handgun and demanded money. The suspect took an undisclosed amount of money from the cash register and then exited the store. The suspect left in a white four door Honda traveling west on Dulles Drive.

The suspect was described as a black male wearing a black mask over his face, a dark blue long sleeve button down shirt and blue jeans. There were no injuries reported.

Detectives are asking anyone with information about the incident or the identity of the suspects to call Lafayette Police or Crime Stoppers at 232-TIPS.
