Public's assistance needed in locating suspect

The Ville Platte Police Department is asking the public for assistance in identifying a man. On February 25, 2013 the suspect walked out of Wal-Mart with three 32 inch televisions.

According to Ville Platte Police Chief Lartigue, the unknown male was observed in electronics looking at the televisions and put three 32 inch televisions in a shopping cart. The man then went to other areas of the store including the customer service counter. After standing around the customer service counter for a few minutes the male left through the door of the store with the three televisions in the shopping cart without paying. The weather at the time of the incident blocked the direction of travel from the view of the cameras. The male was wearing a dark blue or black t-shirt, a white baseball cap and blue jeans. He is described as medium skinned black male and was clean shaven. If you have information about the identity of this man please contact the Ville Platte Police Department at 363-1313. Your call will remain anonymous.
