LAKE CHARLES, La. (AP) - State Judge Mike Canaday says prosecutors must release a victim's Social Security number to defense counsel for a Lake Charles man accused of murder.

The American Press reports 49-year-old Jon Wray Baumberger allegedly killed his wife, 48-year-old Treasa Mae Williams, on Dec. 5, 2010, at their Moss Bluff home. He is charged with second-degree murder.

Authorities said Baumberger told 911 dispatchers he killed Williams after a domestic dispute.

Baumberger's attorney, King Alexander, said all of the documents he received from the District Attorney's Office were redacted to exclude the victim's Social Security number. Alexander claimed that Baumberger needs the number to access her medical records, which he is entitled to as her spouse.
