Yet another new business has come to Lafayette's south side. Honey Baked Ham and Café has opened it's doors in the Crossroads South Plaza, between Kaliste Saloom Road and Ambassador Caffery Parkway.
The store missed opening for Thanksgiving, but managers are anticipating a busy holiday season.
"Seventy percent of our business, of our gross income of sales for the year, comes from Thanksgiving and Christmas, a 6 week period," said franchise owner Ricky Reaves.
Honey Baked Ham will be open year-round, and also features a café for the lunch and dinner crowds with salads, soups and sandwiches.
"We use all the products that we sell, as far as hams, turkey breasts, breads, sauces, on the sandwiches, we have our desserts also available, it's just a little slice of the holidays when it's not the holiday," Reaves said.
Honey Baked Ham is still hiring, anyone who is interested can pick up an application at the store.
