NEW IBERIA, La. - The Regional Health System of Acadiana today announced that it has agreed to sell Dauterive Hospital to Progressive Acute Care L.L.C., a division of Progressive Health Care Inc. Dauterive Hospital now joins several Progressive Acute Care Louisiana facilities which currently serve rural markets across the state.
The Regional Medical Center of Acadiana and Women's & Children's Hospital in nearby Lafayette that comprise The Regional Health System of Acadiana, will continue to grow and thrive. "I am pleased that Progressive recognizes the advanced, quality medical care and qualified, caring physicians that Dauterive Hospital has to offer," says Kathy Bobbs, Regional Health System of Acadiana President & CEO. "We look forward to continuing a close working relationship with Progressive, Dauterive Hospital and The Legacy Medical Group."
"Progressive Acute Care specializes in operating rural hospitals in communities across Louisiana such as New Iberia," says Dan Rissing, CEO of Progressive Health Care. "Dauterive Hospital will be a key component of Progressive's rural health network strategy. "Our Louisiana healthcare family welcomes the family of physicians, nurses and support staff, board and volunteers of Dauterive Hospital and in doing so, reaffirms our commitment to continue providing excellence in healthcare services and technologies from New Iberia's premier healthcare center," he adds.
"Dauterive Hospital is filled with caring, compassionate physicians and staff known for providing exceptional patient care. We want to thank them - and the residents of Iberia Parish - for being patient with us throughout the transition process," states Kathy Bobbs.
