Pregnant woman, unborn child killed in shooting

BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - A 21-year-old woman, who was five months pregnant, has died after she was shot multiple times. Baton Rouge Police say the woman's unborn child is also dead.
The shooting happened around noon Tuesday in the 1700 block of Madison Avenue.
Police Cpl. L'Jean Mckneely Jr. says the woman was shot several times in the chest and she and the fetus died at an area hospital. Her name has not been released.
Mckneely says the shooting is believed to have stemmed from a domestic dispute with a boyfriend, who is currently being questioned by police.
The incident remains under investigation.
