Fire Alarm on Rex Street was a False Alarm

KATC has been in contact with the UL Lafayette police department and the fire alarm on the 100 block of Rex Street was a false alarm. Students are being allowed back into the building at this time.

Lafayette law and fire officials are on the scene of a fire alarm in the 100 block of Rex Street, that is the athletic dorm room on UL's campus. It is unknown if there is a fire at this moment but we do know students have been evacuated and the building is being checked out. We'll have more details as they become available.
