Popular Breaux Bridge Cafe Files Suit

In Breaux Bridge, a legal battle is brewing over a name.
The popular "Cafe des Amis" has filed suit against a California company that apparently opened a restaurant by the same name out in California. In the suit, lawyers for the Breaux Bridge restaurant claim they've had the name trademarked since October 2001.
KATC contacted Cafe des Amis' owner for a statement on the suit, but the owner declined comment, and directed us to his attorney.
