Poll: Jindal's Popularity down to 38%

A new survey says Governor Bobby Jindal's approval rating has fallen sharply since last fall. The Southern Media Opinion and Research poll says Jindal's approval rating now stands at 38%. That's compared to a 51% rating last fall. The research firm says several factors--including cuts to higher education and health care, plans to privatize the charity hospital system, and the governor's tax plan--contributed to the low rating.

Southern Media Opinion and Research says that the poll was conducted by phoning 600 Louisiana residents at random over a two-day period. The margin of error is +/-4%
