Police waiting to speak to second victim in weekend Opelousas shooting

Opelousas Police say the second victim in a early morning shooting October 7 sustained a gunshot wound near his right eye. This victim drove himself to a hospital in Lafayette where he is undergoing surgery and treatment. At this point detectives are waiting to speak with him regarding the incident.
The shooting took place around 5 AM at the Chevron gas station off of the Creswell Ln. exit in Opelousas. Police have 3 leads on suspects, but nothing solid at this time. They believe there were multiple gunmen. Anyone with information is asked to call Opelousas Police.
