BOSSIER CITY, La. (AP) - A 37-year-old Nevada woman was arrested and police in Bossier City, La., police seized more than $40,000 in cash and around $250,000 in jewelry found in her car.
Police say Michelle Kaye Bennett of Henderson, Nevada, became disorderly following a Saturday night traffic stop for reckless driving.
According to The Times, Bennett smelled strongly of alcohol and had been driving erratically prior to the stop. An officer put Bennett in the back of a patrol car where she proceeded to kick out a rear door window.
Police say a search of Bennett's vehicle turned up one gram of cocaine and three valium pills along with a large sum of money and jewelry.
Bennett was booked into the Bossier Parish Maximum Facility. Her total bond is set at $11,150.
