Police Seeking Public's Assistance in Locating a Robbery Suspect

The Kaplan Police Department is seeking the public's assistance in locating an armed robbery suspect.

On February 5, 2013, Kaplan Police Department responded to a call of an armed robbery in the 300 block of 3rd Street in Kaplan.

According to authorities, the victim said there was a knock at his front door and when he answered the door a man entered his residence armed with a knife. The suspect threw the elderly man to the ground alleging he was going to kill him and wanted money. The suspect also cut the victims pants during the robbery.

According to authorities, the phone line was cut to the residence which was the reason the victim had to go to a neighbor's home to call police. After further investigation, police learned the identity of the suspect to be Blair Cordell King, 30, of 1013 S. Ave E. Crowley, Louisiana. King is still at large and police are asking if anyone has information on his whereabouts to please call the Kaplan Police Department at 337-643-8600
