Police seek suspect in Alexandria slaying

ALEXANDRIA, La. (AP) - Alexandria police are investigating the death of a 42-year-old woman.
Jacqueline Bazert was found dead in her home Wednesday afternoon by her stepfather.
Sgt. Bruce Fairbanks says the slaying is believed to have happened either Tuesday evening or Wednesday morning.
Details about Bazert's death have not been released. Fairbanks said detectives are working to identify and apprehend a suspect or suspects.
