Police seek public's assistance in pedestrian hit-and-run

The Sunset Police are seeking the public's assistance in solving a hit-and-run of a pedestrian.

On December 17, 2012 about 8:00 pm the Sunset Police Department received a call about a pedestrian being hit by a vehicle as he was walking North on the South bound side of the interstate. Officers say they found a white man lying on the shoulder of the interstate.

The victim was transported to Opelousas General Hospital with head injuries. Evidence located at the scene indicates that the subject was hit by possibly a Chevy Trail Blazer. The vehicle would have damage to the passenger's side of the vehicle.
