Police Say Mom Shot Daughter's Boyfriend

NEW ORLEANS (AP) - An Algiers woman was arrested after police say she shot a teenage boy she caught in her daughter's bedroom. Letischa Collins, 35, was booked with aggravated battery after she shot the 16-year-old boy in the stomach on Monday.
The injured boy was taken to a local hospital where he was in stable condition, according to New Orleans police, who did not release the victim's name.
No bond has been set in the case. Collins has no prior
convictions or charges, according to Orleans Parish court records.
