Police: Man Charged with Attempted Murder following Dice Game Shooting

Opelousas police have arrested a Washington man on attempted second-degree murder charges. Investigators say 23-year-old Kiara Rideau and Michael Taylor began fighting over a dice game. According to police, Rideau pulled a gun, chased Taylor, and shot him. Rideau is also charged with conspiracy to gamble, illegal congregation, and felon in possession of a firearm. Police Chief Perry Gallow says Taylor will also be charged in connection with the dice game.
