Lafayette Police are looking for a bank robbery suspect that also robbed a bank last week. Police say at about 4:30pm Friday, they responded to an armed robbery at the Whitney bank on 4524 Ambassador Caffery Parkway. Police say the suspect entered the bank and handed the teller a demand note. Police say the suspect claimed to be armed. Police say the suspect fled the bank on foot, to a neighboring parking lot, where he left the scene in an unknown make/model pick-up truck. The suspect did flee with an undisclosed amount of money.

Police say the suspect is described as a male, approximately 6'2"-6'4", weighting between 240-260 pounds. The suspect was wearing a blue and white ball cap, light colored shirt with a white t-shirt underneath.

This suspect is the same person suspected with robbing the Whitney Bank off of I-49 in Opelousas last week.

Investigators are asking anyone with information about the incident to contact Lafayette Police or Crime Stoppers at 232-TIPS.
