The Acadia Parish Police Jury will not receive a pay raise. The police jury voted 4-4 Monday night on the resolution to give themselves a $500 per month raise. The tie vote means the measure failed, keeping salaries at $950 per month, with the police jury president receiving $1050 per month. Police Jury Secretary-Treasurer Richard Latiolais says the police jury could raise the issue again at future meetings.
