Police Jury Passes Resolution Opposing Injection Well

The Acadia Parish Police Jury passed a resolution Tuesday opposing any injection well facility from being built anywhere in the parish. The jury approved the motion with a 6-0 vote only one night after the Acadia Parish School Board unanimously approved a similar motion. The motion was placed on the agenda due to residents' concerns of an injection well being built in the 5800 block of the Church Point Highway.
