The Rapides Parish Sheriff's Office is investigating the death of a 44-year-old Oberlin woman who died Sunday in a 4-wheeler accident at a private Tioga park.
The woman, Angelle Durio, died at the park on La. Highway 3225 after the accident around 11 a.m.
Authorities say witnesses were performing CPR on the victim, which Rapides deputies and volunteer firefighters took over until Acadian Ambulance personnel arrived. Despite the efforts, the woman died at the scene.
Detectives say it appears Durio lost control of the 4-wheeler on a bridge, and it overturned.
