ALEXANDRIA, La. (AP) - Rapides Parish sheriff's deputies have released the identity of a body that was found last week in the Red River.
Sheriff Chuck Wagner tells The Town Talk (http://townta.lk/zc2PKr ) 56-year-old Foster Bonton Alexandria was discovered around 10:30 a.m. on Feb. 9 by an employee at the John H. Overton Lock and Dam No. 2 near the Poland community in Rapides Parish.
Wagner said Monday that deputies are still investigating how Bonton's body ended up in the river.
He says foul play is not suspected in Bonton's death.
