TALLULAH, La. (AP) - Louisiana State Police say the bodies of two men and a woman missing since Jan. 7 have been found in the Tensas River west of Tallulah.
Police spokeswoman Julie Lewis says 68-year-old Eddie Cobb Jr. and 52-year-old Ella Williams, both of Beaumont, Texas, and Cobb's 49-year-old nephew Brady Brown of Columbia, S.C., apparently drowned after their 2006 Dodge Stratus ran off the road.
They were heading toward Shreveport, 150 miles west of Tallulah, after a funeral in Columbia. After more than a week during which no one had heard from them, Columbia police asked authorities across the Southeast to help in the search.
Lewis says a police spotter looking for the car by plane saw a bumper floating in the river Tuesday. Divers found the car Wednesday
