Abbeville police recently met with parish officials and community leaders to discuss five open murder cases in the city. Chief Tony Hardy spoke to members of the Vermilion Parish Police Jury, Abbeville city councilmen, business owners, and members of the NAACP about the cases. Hardy reiterated that his department is actively working all five murders and are working leads in each of them. Hardy also asked those in attendance to provide any tips they may have or find, explaining that all leads--no matter how small they might seem--are helpful to investigators.
