BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - Authorities say that two sisters found dead in an East Baton Rouge apartment apparently died in a murder-suicide.
Deputies found the bodies of Gwen C. Williams, who was 70, and her sister and roommate, Sylvia K. Cason, who was 64, on Friday after getting a call from a relative.
The Advocate newspaper said Cason, who was found on the couch, had been shot multiple times. Williams, who was found on a recliner, had one gunshot wound.
Deputies said that Williams' daughter told them her mother had talked about committing suicide and had said she would also kill
her younger sister because she didn't want her to be alone.
