Police: Auto Parts Store, Pedestrian Robberies May Be Connected

Lafayette police are investigating two separate armed robberies that took place Tuesday. The first incident occurred at O'Reilly Auto Parts in the 1000 block of North University Avenue. The suspect used a pistol to steal an undisclosed amount of cash from the register. The suspect in this incident is described as a black male around 20-years-old wearing a white muscle shirt and shorts.

The second incident took place in the 100 block of Delahoussaye Drive. The suspect approached the victim, who was walking down the street, and demanded money from him at knife point. The suspect made off with an undisclosed amount of money. The suspect is described as a black male with a light complexion and long braids.
