Police asking for help in solving armed robbery

Police are asking for help from the public in solving an armed robbery.

Saturday night, the Jennings Police Department received a call of an armed robbery at the Walgreens on Highway 26 in Jennings. According to employees, two men wearing brightly colored clothes produced handguns and removed money from the register. As the pair exited the building, one of the suspects turned and fired one shot in the direction of the employees.

According to police, the suspects fled north towards the interstate in a grey or greenish colored general motors type vehicle with a sunroof which had tape applied to it.

Jennings Police department is looking for a possible witness to the crime. According to police, the witness, a white male wearing a pop-a-lock shirt, may have information valuable to the case.
