BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - The East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's Office says an inmate charged with killing his grandfather used a razor to attack a man accused of molestation.
Sheriff's spokeswoman Casey Rayborn Hicks tells The Advocate that 31-year-old Dustin Musso spat at deputies who tried to question him Friday. She says he was booked with attempted second-degree murder and battery on two officers.
She did not identify the injured inmate, who needed several stitches.
At shower time, she says, deputies gave the second inmate a razor. Hicks says he was supposed to return it, but gave it to Musso to get his own neck shaved while he stood outside Musso's cell.
After shaving him, Musso allegedly broke the razor and attacked with the blade, then yelled, "I'm trying to rid the world of child molesters!"
