NEW ORLEANS (AP) - U.S. Poet Laureate Natasha Trethewey will read works Thursday at the New Orleans Public Library's main office in the downtown area.
The reading will be at 7 p.m. and is free and open to the public.
Trethewey is a Pulitzer-Prize winning poet and the 19th U.S. poet laureate. She will share her themes of race, history, personal experiences and politics.
