Acadiana will enjoy pleasant weather with mild afternoon temperatures through Wednesday but a vigorous cool front will usher in colder conditions later this week and to start the weekend.
After a cool start, Tuesday afternoon temperatures will reach into the upper 60s to lower 70s.
Wednesday will be warmer with highs pushing into the mid-70s, but clouds will be increasing for the afternoon.
The aforementioned cool front will allow for a good chance of scattered showers and possibly a few strong thunderstorms Wednesday night.
Skies will clear Thursday with sharply cooler temperatures in the upper 50s to near 60 Thursday and Friday with lows likely dropping into the mid-upper 30s.
Expect milder conditions to gradually return this weekend with clouds increasing ahead of a busy pattern that should bring rain chances and mild temperatures to the area for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
