PGCA hosts annual Philanthropy Day Awards

The Planned Giving Council of Acadiana (PGCA) is a nonprofit organization which provides a forum for the exchange of planned giving ideas in the Acadiana area of Louisiana. The mission of the PGCA is to help ensure that planned giving donors in our communities are professionally served, and that their philanthropic interests are satisfied when considered in conjunction with their overall financial and estate plan.

The PGCA honors the 2009 Outstanding Philanthropist, Outstanding Philanthropic Organization, and Outstanding Fund Raising Volunteer.
This event will take place on November 10, 2009 at 5:30 PM. The program begins at 6 PM at the UL Lafayette Alumni Center.
Honorees include: Jim and Charlotte Doyle, 2009 Outstanding Philanthropist, Stuller Family Foundation, 2009 Outstanding Philanthropic Organization; Nicole Jones, 2009 Outstanding Fundraising Volunteer.

PGCA began the Philanthropy Awards in conjunction with National Philanthropy Day in 2002. This year's sponsors of the event include Leave a Legacy, John T. Landry and Associates, Inc., University of Louisiana at Lafayette Foundation, Whitney Bank, and United Way of Acadiana. Past honorees include Paul and LuLu Hilliard, Robert Trahan, Alfred Lamson, Greg Trahan, Sharon Moss, Bo Ramsay, Jackie Edgar, Junior League of Lafayette, Acadiana Outreach Center, United Way of Acadiana, Woman's Foundation, Inc., Blue Cross Blue Shield, The Chitimacha Louisiana Open, Special Children's Foundation, Joe Klutts, Earlene Branton, Madlyn Ackal Boustany, Phena Guidry, Dr. Francis Boustany, Nancy and Brudley Kibodeaux (awarded posthumously), and James Prince.
