Hardy is the pet up for adoption this week!
Reminder: LACC is not a boarding place for animals during a hurricane. Plan ahead of time, and find the places.
TIPS FOR HOT WEATHER:
Keep plastic bowl of water, metal absorbs heat.
Place doghouse under trees.
Put a tarp over kennels, and tarp over another type of area.
Fill a baby pool of water, lab-type dogs love it.
Fan on covered patio.
Battery operated camping fan in fenced area, hook to fence, use re-chargeable batteries (not during rain).
Frozen water bottles placed in favorite areas. My dogs bury them to make the dirt cooler.
Bamboo shades in carport to adjust.
HURRICANE PET FRIENDLY LODGING:
Covers how to prepare - checklist (keep microchip phone # up to date), professional pet movers, finding the nearest vet.
