BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - The vice chair listed on a petition to recall Gov. Bobby Jindal says she doesn't want to be involved in the effort.
Joyce DeCarlo Ceasar said that she didn't know anything about the recall petition until she was told it was in the newspaper. Her husband, Ronnie Ray Ceasar, filed the petition Wednesday.
Joyce Ceasar says she didn't give her husband permission to put her name on the filing.
Ronnie Ray Ceasar says he wants to recall Jindal because of the governor's cuts to higher education and health care. He criticized contacting his wife for comment.
The Secretary of State's Office says Ceasar has 180 days to gather more than 908,000 verified signatures for a Jindal recall election.
