Pedestrian struck, killed in Livingston Parish

DENHAM SPRINGS, La. (AP) - State police are investigating a fatal crash involving a pedestrian.
The accident occurred shortly before 7 p.m. Wednesday La. Highway 16 in Livingston Parish.
Troopers say a pickup driven by 46-year-old James Cowell of Walker was traveling southbound when it struck a pedestrian lying in the road.
Trooper First Class Russell G. Graham II said 47-year-old Darwin Carson of Denham Springs was pronounced dead at the scene the Livingston Parish Coroner's Office.
