KENNER, La. (AP) - Passenger traffic at the Louis Armstrong New Orleans International airport has posted its ninth straight year-over-year again.
CityBusiness of New Orleans said the airport had 775,386 passengers in April compared with 740,744 in April 2010.
Passengers leaving the airport on domestic, international and charter flights rose 6.1 percent from April 2010 to 379,833. The number of passengers arriving at the airport rose 1.4 percent from April 2010 to 357,906.
In April, Southwest Airlines led all carriers with 239,763 passengers, a 5 percent increase over the 228,357 passengers a year earlier.
