President Obama has signed a disaster declaration sent to him by Governor Bobby Jindal, clearing the way for local governments to receive federal funding for recovery efforts related to January's flood . Acadia, St. Landry, Vermilion, Jeff Davis, and Evangeline Parishes are among the parishes included in the declaration. FEMA officials say more parishes could be declared disaster areas at a later date.
