SPRINGFIELD, La. (AP) - Tickfaw State Park near Springfield has been closed due to high water.
State officials say the Tickfaw River is rising and that the park will be closed until Monday, when the waters are expected to subside.
The river is expected to crest at 14 feet Wednesday evening. The high water is threatening the main road into the park and already flooding the park's entrance, campground and trails.
