Parents Speak to Students about Use of "R-Word"

March 6th is the annual day of awareness of the hurtful use of the word "Retarded." Students at several schools in St. Landry Parish signed "Spread the word to end the word" banners in support of not using the R-word. KATC'S Allison Bourne-Vanneck? spoke to parents and students on why they feel the R-word is offensive, that story at 5:00 & 6:00 tonight.
