Paratroopers Celebrate Monument's Anniversary

Paratroopers are planning a 20 year celebration on Saturday. They will commemorate the dedication of the "Louisiana Airborne Memorial Bridge" Monument.
The monument was erected 20 years ago at mile marker 121 on I-10 East of Lafayette.
Acadiana Chapter of the 82nd Airborne Division Association will gather near the Louisiana Visitors Center on Saturday October 16, 2010 at11:00 a.m.
Soldiers from the 509th Parachute Infantry Battalion and veteran paratroopers will be there. There will be a ceremony and a speaker.
