Parade changing route to Covington

COVINGTON, La. (AP) - After several months of uncertainty concerning the Krewe of Lyra's ability to parade in 2013, krewe officials have decided to move the parade from Mandeville to Covington.
The 3-year-old krewe will parade on Mardi Gras - Feb. 12 - following the Krewe of Covington and the Lions Club parades.
Each of the parades is expected to hit the streets before noon, said Covington Mayor Mike Cooper.
