PORT ALLEN, La. (AP) - Two Florida men arrested in Louisiana after a car chase last week have waived extradition and will be returned to Florida to faces charges in the beating death of a woman and an attack on her daughter.
Volusia County authorities charged 24-year-old Tyler McClain and 25-year-old Bradley Suntich with first-degree murder and attempted murder. The charges stem from the June 9 killing of 53-year-old Laura Hill and the beating of her 25-year-old daughter, Angela Hill. Authorities said Hill was McClain's girlfriend.
The women and both of the men are from Port Orange, Fla.
At the West Baton Rouge Parish Courthouse on Thursday, according to multiple media reports, McClain told reporters that he was involved in the attacks, which he called "a huge mistake."
