There will be a paddle trip from the Nature Station to Vermilionville on Sunday, October 13, 2013, to commemorate the first anniversary of the Nature Station's canoe/kayak launch.
Bring your own canoe or kayak to the Nature Station at 7:00 a.m. to unload and then drive your vehicle to Vermilionville at 7:30 a.m. to catch the shuttle back to the station to start the paddle. Shuttle leaves Vermilionville at 7:40 a.m. The trip is 9.5 miles and can take around 5 hours to complete. Bring rain gear, extra water, snacks and other items you may need along the way.
Participants will receive a free decal sticker for the first completed section of the Vermilion River Paddle Trail at the end of the trip in the gift shop at Vermilionville.
